While it had been set to close at the end of 2020, the Detroit 67: Perspectives exhibition at the Detroit Historical Museum is becoming permanent. It will be dedicated in honor of Marlowe Stoudamire, entrepreneur, community advocate and Detroit 67 Project Director, who lost his life to COVID-19 last year. If you've visited the exhibition, you know Marlowe's influence runs deep throughout it. His voice is even featured in some of its interactive elements.
A tribute to Stoudamire’s legacy will be placed in the original exhibition as the permanent exhibit is planned. Small group guided tours are currently available by appointment, and visitors are welcome to see it anytime during museum hours as a self-guided experience. A Detroit 67: Perspectives virtual tour is also available by appointment.
