The Detroit Historical Society has been preserving Detroit's stories, and the artifacts that make those stories tangible, for almost 100 years. This year, we told an especially difficult Detroit story with the help of over 500 voices from our community. Detroit 67: Looking Back to Move Forward has been transformational for us and many of you have told us it changed you, as well.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Our future will be defined by the lessons of the past, and we have committed to continuing to share the lessons of Detroit 67 in 2018 and beyond.
Already we have:
- Collected 500+ oral histories
- Convened 100+ partner events
- Hosted 35,000+ visitors to the Detroit 67: Perspectives exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum
