The Great March to Freedom, Rev. Martin Luther King Speaks, Detroit June 23, 1963

Phonograph album containing the speech given by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Cobo Hall on June 23, 1963, released by Gordy records, a division of Motown Records. The album jacket contains several photos of the event including a view from behind King at the podium on the cover; a view of the crowd at Cobo, King leading the march, and King meeting with police commissioner George Edward, Walter Reuther, mayor Jerome Cavanagh, and former governor John B. Swainson on the back, and an overhead view of the march within the gatefold. Also included on the jacket are liner notes by Raymond S. McCann.
