Badge, Insignia

One jacket badge for the "Commodores Club, 1987" of the "Spirit of Detroit Association." The decorative, shield-shaped badge shows a hydroplane and the Renaissance Center towers at the center. The images are made of fine thread and gold braid on a blue fabric background. Fine thread and gold braid are also used to form a decorative rope border. The badge has a layer of cardboard at the center with a black fabric backing. The back includes three brass pins with spring clips for attachment to a blazer or jacket. A separate small printed paper card gives handling instructions.
