Blackjack

One blackjack that was made by the J. M. Bucheimer Company and was used by the Wayne State University Police department. The beavertail-shaped blackjack is made of leather strips that have been dyed black and have been sewn together along the edges. The wide end is weighted with metal and the narrower, handle end has a leather wrist strap sewn on one side. The opposite side is stamped near the middle with text that reads "Bucheimer, Since 1884," and the model name, "Texan." The name, "Hausner," is scratched into the leather in two locations at the wide end.
