Bolt

One large bolt and nut from the WJBK Channel 2 broadcast tower construction project in Southfield, Michigan. The 2-inch long, round-head bolt has a 0.75-inch diameter shank with a threaded end. The bolt and accompanying nut are both made of zinc-plated steel and have been painted red. A small hole has been drilled through the nut, just inside and parallel to the edge formed by two adjacent flats. A segment of wire is located in the hole and has been cut at each end. (Possibly, this wire was part of a lock mechanism for the nut or part of an electrical ground.)
