Bowl, Serving

One serving bowl from the dining room of the MV Henry B. Jordon of the United States Steel Corporation. The oval-shaped bowl is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has gently-curved sides, a thickened outer edge, and a short, oval-shaped base. Narrow blue stripes encircle the top surface of the dish along the outer edge and along the midpoint of the sides. At the center of one of the long sides between the stripes, blue text is stamped that reads "M.V. H.B. Jordon." On the opposite side, the blue "USS" company logo is stamped. The underside is stamped with black text that reads "Mayer China, Beaver Falls, PA, U.S.A.," and "457."
