Box

One clothing box from Federal's Department Store. It is rectangular in shape and is made from a single pre-cut sheet of green/brown cardboard that has been folded and glued together in order to form a box that is hinged along the top side. The top side also has a retractable cardboard handle. The bottom side has two tuck-in cardboard clasps. The left side of the lid is printed with white ink that shows an outline of the states of Michigan and Ohio. The right side has white text that reads "Federal Department Stores." A receipt, dated January 14, 1962, in the amount of $20.55 for one "Formal" gown, is contained in the box.
