Box

One seed packet display box. The box is made of 1/4-inch thick oak panels that have been stained a medium brown color and sealed with a thin lacquer finish. The side panels are all dovetailed and rounded at the edges. The top panel is glued in place and the bottom panel is nailed in place. The top lid has two small hinges at the back and a sliding stop guide on the inside to hold the lid in an upright position. A printed paper sheet is glued on the inside top panel that shows "D. M. Ferry & Co's. Flower Seeds" along with display directions for the merchant. Printed text along the outside lower front panel of the box shows "Flower Seeds, D. M. Ferry & Co., Detroit, Mich." and "10¢ Per Paper." The inside of the box is unfinished.
