Box, Call

One police call box that was used by the Wayne State University Police department. The vertical, rectangular-shaped, wall-mounted box is made of cast aluminum that has been painted blue. It has slightly-curved top and bottom surfaces, a flat back, and a hinged front door that is bowed outward slightly. A raised logo at the top of the door shows a clenched fist with radiating radio waves and the name, "Gamewell." Raised text on middle and lower areas of the door reads "Police Patrol Box," and "The Gamewell Co., Newton, Mass." A keyhole is located on the left side of the door and a small circular knock-out hole is located above it along with raised text that reads "Emergency." Four holes are located on the back surface of the call box for wall mounting screws.
