Candelabrum

One heavy brass altar candelabrum from St. James Lutheran Church, Detroit. The 7-candle candelabrum has a tall hexagonal central shaft which has smooth, flat faces. The central shaft is mounted on a wide hexagonal cast brass base that has six faces which curve inward and upward to meet the lower end of the shaft. Narrow hexagonal brass arms extend horizontally on opposite sides of the central shaft (3 arms on each side) with short arms at the top and long arms near the base. Each arm has a decorative brass filigree corner support on the underside. A decorative hexagonal brass candle holder with a flared top bobeche is mounted at the top of the central shaft and at the ends of each of the six horizontal arms. No manufacturer's name or marks are shown.
