Cannon
One reproduction Model 1841, 12-pounder field gun (or Model 1857, 12-pounder "Napoleon" field gun). The cannon has a bronze barrel and is mounted on a heavy wood carriage that is is painted green. Metal reinforcement straps, hardware, and other fittings on the carriage are painted black. The cannon barrel has a knob at the breech, a vent hole on top, two handles on top near the trunnions, one reinforcement ring, and a blade-style sight on top at the muzzle. The number, "914," is stamped in small text on the right trunnion. No manufacturer's name or marks are visible on the cannon barrel or carriage. Various tools are carried on the carriage including a combination ramrod/sponge, a pulling worm, a metal grease bucket, and a carriage trail handspike.
