Card, Dance
One dance card from the "Alliance Promenade." The card consists of a curled band of pale yellow celluloid which wraps around four narrow sheets of linen. The celluloid wrapper and linen sheets are all held together at the top with a short gold-colored cord. An imitation pearl snap is located on the outside of the celluloid wrapper. A heavier celluloid wristband is attached to the cord so that the dance card could be easily carried and reviewed by the wearer. The first linen sheet has black printed text that reads "Alliance Promenade, given by the Tau and Chi Chapters of Delta Sigma Upsilon" and "Hotel Stevenson, Monday Evening, February Fifteenth, Nineteen Hundred Fifteen." The second sheet lists the names of 20 dances and the corresponding dance style. The third sheet has 20 numbered blank lines that have been filled in with names in pencil. The fourth sheet is printed in black text and lists the names of the chaperones and the printer, "Edward R. Roehm, Detroit."
