Case, Match

One match case bearing an image of the Detroit Post Office. The pocket-size, rectangular, decorative case is made of stamped thin sheet steel. It has a hinged top lid with a friction-type clip, rounded edges on the sides, and a bright chrome finish on the exterior. The lid top surface has an oval-shaped metal frame which holds an engraved image on celluloid that depicts a front corner view of the old Detroit Post Office. The frame is attached to the lid top surface with six small metal clips that fit in slots and are bent inward on the interior surface of the lid. The interior bottom panel of the case has a decorative metal pocket along the lower edge which holds the matches in place. No manufacturer's name or marks are visible on the case interior or exterior.surfaces.
