Coat

Lady's black velvet coat for maternity wear. The coat has a round neckline, puffed shoulders and sleeves with deep cuffs, 8 button/loop closures down the center front, 4 hook/eye closures at the front waist, a mid-calf hemline, and a pale yellow satin lining. (The hook/eye closures at the front waist can be left unfastened in order to accommodate pregnancy.) The coat has decorative black braid and felt trim at the collar, shoulders, waistline, and cuffs as well as on the front and back of the bodice. Bands of decorative black felt trim are also located down the lower center front edges of the coat and at the front hemline. A decorative band of tan felt with black and tan embroidery is located along the inside edge of the neckline and the front closure of the bodice. No manufacturer's labels are visible.
