Coil, Induction

Appears to be an automobile induction coil mounted inside two homemade wooden boxes. The coil is similar to those used on Model T Fords and has two cloth-insulated wires attached. It is mounted in a box with a hinged and nailed lid. This box has a large space next to the coil, possibly for batteries. A third wire, runs from the bottom of the coil through holes out through both boxes. The outer box appears to have been made from an apple crate as portions of the labels remain visible.
