One Palm IIIe personal digital assistant (PDA) made by 3Com Corporation. The thin, rectangular-shaped, handheld computer has a gray plastic body. It has a hinged plastic top cover which opens to reveal an LCD screen, five small control buttons, and a diagram that shows how to write alphanumeric characters on the screen with a stylus. A battery compartment opening is located on the underside of the PDA body. The PDA comes with a separate docking station and serial cable to allow for transfers of data to and from a personal computer.
