Crate

One wooden crate. The crate is made of 1/2-inch thick wood slats on the long sides that have been nailed to 3/4-inch thick wood end panels. The nails pass through metal reinforcing strips that are located along the side and bottom edges of the crate. The end panels have openings for handles and also have black painted text that shows "Par-T-Pak Beverages" and "1936." Red and black painted text on the long sides shows "Dossin's Par-T-Pak Beverages, Detroit, Mich." as well as "1 Doz. Full Quarts" and "The Taste Tells the Difference." One of the inside end panels is stamped on the inside with black text that shows "O'nIzed Containers Manufactured by Owens Illinois Glass Company, Fairmont, W. Va."
