Cross

One small wood Calvary cross. The cross has trefoil ends at the sides and top and is mounted on a rectangular 3-step base. The cross and trefoils are made of walnut with the base and a center inlay on the cross being made of a lighter wood (possibly pine). The center inlay is located only on the front side of the cross. The entire cross has been finished with a glossy varnish or lacquer which had darkened slightly with age. A paper label on the underside of the base has handwritten ink text that shows "Walnut from old pews, outline of cross, Old Mariner's Church, Built 1849, Moved to Civic Center 1955."
