Cup, Coffee
One coffee cup and saucer from a dining room of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway ferries. Both pieces are made of white glazed china. The cup has a rounded top edge that has a slight inward curve and sides that taper to form a narrow bottom. It also has a plain handle with a blue stripe on the outside. The outside top edge has a narrow blue stripe and a small black drawing of a railroad ferry is shown on the front. A very narrow gold-colored line encircles the cup at the base. The saucer has a plain, slightly curved rim with a thickened outer edge. A narrow blue stripe is located at the outer edge and a very narrow gold-colored stripe is located around the cup base. Both pieces are stamped on the underside with black text that reads "Syracuse China, U.S.A." with "93-B on the cup and "99-C" on the saucer.
