Cup, Demitasse
One demitasse cup and saucer from the dining room of the Manoir Richelieu Hotel owned by Canada Steamship Lines. Both pieces are made of white glazed china that have been painted red on the exterior surfaces. The cup is cylindrical in shape with a white interior and red exterior. The exterior includes white bands at the top and bottom that have been decorated with an alternating pattern of gold-colored lines and fleur-de-lis symbols. The white handle has a simple gold-colored line design. The company logo, consisting of a coat of arms with a shield, crown, and anchor design, is stamped on the inside of the cup. The saucer has a curved red rim with a rounded outer edge. White bands with gold-colored lines and fleur-de-lis symbols are painted along the outer and inner edges of the saucer rim to match the cup. Both pieces are stamped on the underside with a green logo and text that reads "Royal Worcester Hotel China, Made in England." Additional green text reads "Made for Manoir Richelieu, Cassidy's, Ltd."
