One dessert or ice cream dish from the dining room of the railroad car ferry, SS City of Grand Rapids, of the Grand Trunk Railroad. The oval-shaped dish is made of heavyweight, white glazed china. It has curved sides and a narrow, rounded rim. Two narrow green stripes encircle the dish just below the rim. At a break in the stripes at the center of one of the long sides, the letters, "G.T.R.," are stamped in green script text. The underside is stamped with a crown logo and dark green text that reads "Rosenthal, Selb, Bavaria," and "The Brodeur Co., Montreal."
