Chalk drawing on cardstock by Truman S. Fisher of a head-and-shoulders portrait of Captain Richard Filban of the Detroit Fire Department's Hook and Ladder Company No. 3, who was killed in action at the D.M. Ferry and Company Seed Warehouse fire on January 1, 1886. His badges, hat band, buttons, and collar have been highlighted in white. His badge on his coat and his hat both are stamped with the number "220." His hat's badge also bears the image to two parallel bugles. The work is signed, "T.S. Fisher, 1886," in the lower right corner.
