Dress

One lady's light blue chambray dress. The lightweight summer dress has a pointed collar, short cap sleeves, six silver-colored buttons down the front, a flared skirt, two narrow bands of elastic smocking at the front waist, a narrow matching fabric belt, and a hemline ending below the knee. The upper part of the bodice front is decorated with heavy white cotton thread that has been embroidered in a grid pattern. A label on the inside back collar reads "A. J. Izod Ltd., London W.I., By Appointment. American Reproduction by David Crystal." The dress includes a silver-colored circular metal broach on the left collar which shows the name, " IKE," surrounded by small pearlescent plastic beads.
