Dress

One older girl's summer dress. The dress is made of navy blue lightweight cotton fabric that has a silk-like sheen. It has a round neckline with snaps along the inside edge for a removable collar, long narrow sleeves and plain cuffs with snaps, a loose bodice with single pleats at the sides on both the front and back, and a matching fabric belt at the waist. The full skirt has a pocket at the right side and long pleats that align with the pleats in the bodice. The upper portion of the bodice has a light tan rayon/acetate lining. A label on the inside back neckline reads "The Girl's Shop, The J. L. Hudson Company, Paris, Detroit."
