Dress

One lady's three-piece brown faille fabric dress. The fitted bodice has interior stays, a high collar, slightly-puffed shoulders, long tight-fitting sleeves, and applied designs of brown braid and jet on the waist and back. Hook/eye closures at the front are hidden behind a long, slightly ruffled front panel. The plain full skirt has a high waistband with a button closure at the back, wide pleats, and a brown cambric fabric lining. The waist-length jacket has a pointed collar, long sleeves, a tan cambric fabric lining, four buttons down the center front, and two long tails in front. The shoulders, cuffs, front tails, and back of waist are all trimmed with brown braid scrollwork designs.
