Woman's dress with jacket. The short sleeve silk dress has a wide neckline with two rows of blue, fuschia, lavender, green, and white silk print flowers that have been hand-appliqued to the navy blue top. Two decorative pieces of ornamental jewelry (silver-colored metal with small simulated diamonds and colored stones) have been clipped on each side of the front neckline. The attached pleated silk skirt has a dropped waistline with pleats that have been sewn down 4 inches and a side zipper closure. The skirt print design matches the collar. The navy blue silk faille jacket has a long, wide collar that is trimmed with a matching flowered blue, fuschia, lavender, green, and white silk print fabric. It has padded shoulders, 3/4 length sleeves, bell bottom cuffs, two buttons at the center, and horizontal set-in pockets at each side. A label on the inside back collar shows "Bess Schlauk, Beverly Hills, Calif."
