Dress
One lady's 2-piece dress made of red rose velveteen fabric and tan/brown satin damask fabric that has a pattern of wild roses in pink, violet, and light green. The fitted bodice is made of velveteen except for the lower arms of the leg-of-mutton sleeves and the two front panels which are partially covered by the velveteen. The bodice has an upright collar, slightly puffed shoulders, small velveteen bows at the cuffs, hook/eye closures down the center front, and a pale yellow satin lining with stays. A label on the inside waistband reads "Cie. Lyonnaise, Mme. Mantel, Bd. des Capucines 37, Paris." The front and sides of the full skirt are made of damask. No seam shows at the front, but there are three darts at the waist. Three unpressed pleats on each side of the center placket give the back considerable fullness. The back two panels are of velveteen with a center panel of damask. The skirt has a tan cambric fabric lining.
