Dress

One lady's two-piece taffeta dress. The dress fabric has an abstract red/green loop pattern on a green background with subtle white woven stripes. The bodice has a high neck, puffed epaulets on the shoulders, long narrow sleeves that are gathered along the side seams, interior stays, a V-shaped front with light tan lace, and hook/eye closures beneath the lace. Green velvet trim is used on the neck, epaulets, front, and waistline with bows. The skirt has two vertical bands of green velvet trim in front, a mauve cambric fabric lining, and pleats with hook/eye closures at the waistband in back. A label on the inside back waistline of the bodice reads "Newcomb, Endicott & Co., Detroit, Mich."
