Dress

One lady's skirt and jacket made of wool challis fabric in a brown paisley print. The waist-length, bolero style jacket is made of quilted fabric and has a dark brown acetate lining. It has long sleeves and is trimmed with gold-colored braided cord around the neck, down the front, along the bottom, at the shoulders, and the lower edges of the sleeves. Gold-colored thread is sewn irregularly around various paisley patterns and creates a quilted effect. Labels on the inside back of the neck read "Pierre Cardin, Paris, New York," and "Neiman-Marcus." The unlined skirt is made of the same brown wool challis fabric as the jacket and has a hemline that ends below the knee. The skirt fabric is gathered along a 2-inch wide waistband. It has side pockets and a zipper at the center back that has a placket cover. The waist band is outlined in the same gold-colored braided cord as on the jacket. Braided cord also runs down the two side seams from the waist to the hemline. Labels on the inside waistband read "Pierre Cardin, Paris, New York," and "Neiman-Marcus." A separate fabric care label reads "Dry Clean Only."
