Flag

One commemorative flag from the International Tugboat Race on the Detroit River that also celebrates the City of Windsor centennial. The swallowtail style flag is made of lightweight white cotton or wool fabric. Red text is printed on the upper part of the flag that reads "International Tug Boat Race" along with dark blue text below that reads "Windsor Centennial, 1954." The hoist edge is reinforced with a double layer strip of white canvas. Brass grommets are located at the top and bottom ends of the reinforcing strip. The top, bottom, and outer edges of the flag are all sewn with a double-stitched rolled hem in order to minimize tears and fabric fraying. No manufacturer's label is shown.
