Flag

Company flag from the Interlake Steamship Company fleet. The rectangular flag is made of nylon. It has wide orange, white, and black vertical stripes and shows an embroidered outline of the Great Lakes at the center along with the company smokestack. The smokestack color is black with a single wide horizontal orange stripe that is located just above the midpoint of the stack. The hoist edge of the flag is reinforced with a heavy white nylon binding and has brass grommets at the corners. The manufacturer's stamp shows "National Nylon" and "All Nylon Exclusive of All Cotton Ornamentation, WPL 1721." "Handwritten text on the white binding shows "Dossin - 92."
