Flatiron
One gas-heated flatiron. The iron is made of cast iron and steel with a wooden handle and a removable top. The front end is pointed and the back is flat. A steel tube at the back has a threaded end for connection to a natural gas supply line. Four vent holes are located along the lower edges of both of the curved sides of the cast iron base. Raised text on the removable top reads "IWANTU - Comfort Gas Iron," and "Pat. 1910, No. 6, Strause Gas Iron Co.,Phila, PA."
