Gown, Evening

One lady's evening gown. The gown consists of a floral pattern overskirt of black lace over black silk chiffon along with a tan silk underskirt. The overskirt is pleated all around and has narrow black cord shoulder straps with a narrow pleated ruffle around the top edge. A black satin ribbon is threaded through small loops just below the ruffle in order to gather the top. A tag inside the top edge designates "Front." The ensemble includes a 34" x 44" black lace shawl with scalloped edges. Labels on an inside seam of the underskirt give dry cleaning instructions, the ILGWU designation, and size "10," The bottom portion of one label has been torn off and is missing.
