Hat

One peaked hat worn by a marine deck officer. The hat has a white vinylized fabric top, a black headband with a gold-colored strap across the front, and a black vinyl visor. The strap ends are attached at brass buttons that are located on the left and right sides of the hat. The front of the hat has a decorative embroidered emblem that includes a diamond-shaped metal pin with the "R" logo of the "Reiss Steamship Co., Lake Transportation" fleet. A white fabric and plastic label holder is located on the inside top of the hat although no manufacturer's label is shown.
