Hat

One peaked hat worn by a marine deck or engineering officer. The hat has a khaki fabric top, a black headband with a gold-colored strap across the front, and a black vinyl visor. The strap ends are attached at brass buttons that are located on the left and right sides of the hat. Two grommeted vent holes are located on each side of the fabric top just above the brass buttons. The front of the hat has a decorative embroidered emblem with text that reads "Midland Steamship Line." No manufacturer's label is shown.
