Hat

One U.S. Army Air Force peaked hat worn by Frank D. Stella. The hat has a brown wool fabric top with two grommeted vent holes on both the left and right sides. The front has a large gold-colored metal pin that depicts an American eagle and shield. Also, there is a brown leather visor at the front. The hat has a green twill fabric headband on the exterior with a brown leather strap across the front. The strap ends are attached at the left and right sides of the hat with a small brass button which has an eagle insignia. The interior headband is made of brown leather and has gold-colored text that shows "Curve Controlled Flighter by Bancroft, U.S. Pat. No.2369275." The top interior has a brown and tan acetate lining.
