Hat, Pillbox

One lady's pillbox hat. The hat has slightly rounded edges with a short tier on top that is of a smaller diameter. It is made of a narrow strips of pink straw-like material that have been interwoven with narrow pale pink threads in order to create a floral-like pattern. The short top tier has a wide pink satin band along the sides and the lower portion has a matching narrow satin band along the sides at the center. A single pink silk rose with a green stem and leaves is attached at the back of the hat. Several green leaves are also sewn along the sides along with pink netting. A 5/8-inch wide pink woven fabric band is sewn along the inside lower edge of the hat to form a headband. A small union label is sewn on the headband and a "Winkelman's" label is sewn above it.
