Hatbox

One hat box from the B. Siegel Company. The square box is made of cardboard that has a stylized tan/gray stripe pattern on the exterior. It has a removable lid with black script text stamped on top that reads "B. Siegel, Detroit." Both the lid and bottom are made of pre-cut, ready-to-assemble pieces of cardboard that have been folded and stapled together in order to form the finished box. The bottom section includes a cardboard handle as well as two tuck-in cardboard clasps on opposite sides which secure the lid to the bottom.
