Hatbox

One hat box from Hudson's. The square box is made of tan cardboard. It has a removable lid with green text stamped on top that reads "Hudson's." Both the lid and bottom are made of pre-cut, ready-to-assemble pieces of cardboard that have been folded and stapled together in order to form the finished box. The bottom section includes a white plastic handle as well as two tuck-in cardboard clasps on opposite sides which secure the lid to the bottom. A receipt, dated October 23, 1977, in the amount of $22.88 for one "Millinery", is contained in the box.
