Helmet, Firefighter's
Fire helmet. Black leather "leatherhead" style firefighter's helmet. Front crest reads "Phoenix" in small black leather letters above a large white leather 3. The rear of the brim has a metal clip with a hole in it through which a light metal wire is twisted. "Worn to over 1000 fires D. McCormick 1848-1872" handwritten inside of band.
McCromick was a member of the Phoenix Engine Company.
