Holder, Match

One matchstick holder from the Hotel Duluth in Duluth, Minnesota. The holder is made of heavyweight white glazed china. It has a rectangular holder at the center for new matchsticks and an attached saucer-shaped bottom for used matchsticks. Narrow gold-colored stripes are painted along the outside top surface of the matchstick holder and along the outer edge of the saucer. A gold-colored image of the passenger steamship, Duluth, is stamped on both of the wide sides of the matchstick holder. The underside of the saucer is stamped with an oval-shaped logo and black text that reads "Fraunfelter China, Ohio," and "Furnished by Albert Pick & Company, Chicago."
