Motsinger Auto-Sparker, provided continuous spark to start gas engines without a battery. Made of iron, brass and hardened rubber. Made by The Motsinger Device Mfg. Co. of Pendleton, IN. A Motsinger magazine ad of 1905 said the "Auto-Sparker starts and runs gas engines without batteries".
