Key

One cabin key from the passenger steamship, SS NORTH AMERICAN, of the Chicago, Duluth & Georgian Bay Transit Company. The standard cylinder key is made of brass and has been stamped at the top by the manufacturer, "ILCO, Independent Lock Co., Fitchburg, Mass." A brass ring at the top has an attached tag that is made of heavy tan cardboard. The cardboard tag is stamped with black text that shows "C.D.&G.B.T. Co. (Georgian Bay Line), S.S. North American, Chicago." Black text stamped on the back shows "Drop In Any Mail Box, We Guarantee Postage."
