Lantern

Electric Fire Lantern. A "La France Electric Lantern" manufactured by the American La France Fire Engine Company, Inc as indicated by a metal plaque attached to its elongated oval-shaped top. The metal body is painted red, while its curved rear-facing handle has traces of black paint. Four loose wires and a socket are visible through the round opening where a bulb would be inserted. A raised metal band is screwed onto the lantern's rear, possibly allowing for it to be attached to something. "American LaFrance" is also embossed onto the sides of the lantern's rear.
