1 - Commemorative medal worn by United Spanish War Veteran (USWV), Joseph Hoffman. The medal has a brass emblem at the top which includes an inverted triangle with an entwining serpent and text: "Military Order of the Serpent", a green silk ribbon hangs beneath the emblem with gold lettering: "Grand Convocation Grand Lair Military Order of the Serpent Province of Michigan June 11-12-13-14, 1939 Traverse City Michigan", the reverse side of the medal has small embossed text that shows "Made In U.S.A." and "Greenduck Co., Chi."
