1 - Commemorative medal worn by United Spanish War Veteran (USWV), Joseph Hoffman. The medal has a rectangular brass top with a decorative border and a paper label insert that has printed text: "Michigan", a red, white, and blue vertically-striped ribbon hangs beneath along with a brass medal. The medal has the shape of an eight-pointed star obverse: a raised crest at the center and text: "Republica de Cuba", reverse embossed: "1898 1902 1928 - Commemorating the 26th Anniversary, Cuban Independence, and the 30th Encampment United Spanish War Veterans Havana, Cuba. Made in U.S.A."
