One World War II commemorative medal awarded to Capt. Morgan L. Howell. The medal has a red, white, blue, orange, and yellow vertically-striped ribbon at the top with a hanging circular brass medal. The medal shows a Lady Columbia figure at the center who is holding one section of a broken sword in each hand. Raised text shows "World War II." The reverse side of the medal shows raised text at the center that reads "Freedom From Fear and Want" and "Freedom of Speech and Religion." Raised text along the perimeter shows "United States of America, 1941-1945."
