One World War II commemorative medal awarded to Capt. Morgan L. Howell. The medal has a red, white, blue, and black vertically-striped ribbon at the top with a hanging circular brass medal. The medal shows a drawing at the center that depicts a military airplane, a navy ship, and a submarine. Factory buildings can be seen in the background. Raised text along the top edge shows "American Campaign." The reverse side of the medal shows a perched eagle at the center. Raised text at the sides shows "1941-1945" and "United States of America." A small "W" is shown at the bottom edge.
