One Detroit 200th Anniversary medal. The bronze medal has a small, decorative bronze banner-shaped piece at the top that shows "Detroit, 1701-1901" on the obverse and has a pin on the reverse. Hanging beneath the banner is a circular medal that shows an image of the "First House in Detroit." Additional text indicates that the medal was "Issued By the Official Committee at the Bi-Centennial of Detroit, Mich., July 24, 1901." The reverse shows three emblems that symbolize the United States, Great Britain, and France. Text along the edge of the medal shows "To Commemorate the Founding of Ft. Pontchartrain, Now Detroit, By De LaMotte Cadillac, 1701-July 24-1901."
